Coastal Family Garden

This was one of the first gardens we ever designed and it remains a favourite. This young family have a large garden but when they arrived it was devoid of any features or planting. We were tasked with finding the right space for a summer house and terasse, creating a secluded spot for their hot tub, a play element for the children, and a small orchard with pear, apples and espaliered gooseberries bushes. As the house is a stone's throw from the beach, plants were chosen that would enjoy the windy, sandy conditions. The garden quickly matured into a playful and colour space due to the well-chosen plants and the attentive care of the family.
