Lynne and Ian McNicoll of It’s Good 2 Give founded and run a charity that raises money for children with cancer and their families. Ripple Retreat is their most ambitious project so far.

Ripple Retreat has been designed by multi-award winning, international architects, Kettle Collective as a special retreat – a place to escape, to relax and come together as a family. The site is on the southern bank of Loch Venachar in a wonderful location on the waters edge with beautiful views down the loch to the west and over the water to the hills to the north.

Semple Begg have been asked to design the outdoor space for Ripple Retreat and we could not be more thrilled. The brief is to create a design that sits naturally within the landscape and mirrors the high aesthetic values of the Tony Kettle’s design. To provide a place of solace, comfort and hopefully much needed fun for children with cancer and their families.

This is an amazing project and it really is such a privilege that Semple Begg are to be part of it.

That is such an exciting project! As Sarah E says the challenge is in the balance, the harmony with the surroundings, the genius loci. Have fun- great project!
